The Radiology Department at Jane Todd Crawford Hospital provides 24-hour imaging services, seven days a week, using advanced digital technology to support timely diagnosis and treatment. While technology is an important part of the care we provide, our focus goes beyond equipment. Ultrasound

Ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves to create images of organs, tissues, and other structures inside the body. It is commonly used to evaluate many different areas of the body and does not use ionizing radiation.

CT Scan

Computed Tomography, commonly called a CT or CAT scan, uses X-rays and computer technology to create detailed cross-sectional images of the body. A CT image can be compared to viewing individual slices of a loaf of bread, allowing healthcare providers to examine specific areas of the body in greater detail. Our CT technology can produce detailed cross-sectional images and allows for three-dimensional and multiplanar image reconstruction when needed.

Digital Mammography

Digital mammography uses low-dose X-rays to create detailed images of breast tissue and is an important tool in the early detection of breast cancer. Jane Todd Crawford Hospital's mammography services are accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR). Digital imaging technology allows images to be reviewed electronically and provides radiologists with detailed information to assist in evaluating breast tissue and identifying areas that may require additional attention.

Portable Bedside Radiography

Portable radiography allows X-rays to be performed at a patient’s bedside when the patient is unable to safely travel to the Radiology Department. This service is especially valuable for patients who are critically ill, have limited mobility, or require imaging while remaining in their hospital room.

Fluoroscopy

Fluoroscopy is a type of medical imaging that provides real-time, moving X-ray images of structures inside the body. It may be used for a variety of diagnostic and image-guided procedures, including swallowing studies and certain vascular access procedures such as PICC line placement.
